Launch of the new CD “Abertzaleen Euskadi Abestaldi”

On December
15 the Biotz Alai will officially launch its new CD,
“Abertzaleen Euskadi Abestaldia” which
includes the recording the choir made in 1976 of
hymns and Basque patriotic songs, as well as three
new, recently recorded selections. The CD
contains songs which
could be heard at any of the popular Basque
festivals that year, and which many people would
have learnt from hearing this recording. The
disc includes Eusko ereserkia, a Basque national
hymn, and many other songs such as Eusko
gudariak, Batasuna, Jaiki-jaiki etc. This songs
have been taken from the master recording used
for the original release of the record in 1976,
and to complete the CD the current members of
the choir have recorded three new songs with a
distinctly nationalist feel, such as
Euskalerriko, Ara nun diran and Anaiak gara.
The launch takes place at the Hotel Igeretxe, and will be attended by various notaries, political representatives, ex-choristers and people linked to the Biotz Alai. The CD, distributed by Disconor, will be on sale from December 15 and would make a good present this Christmas
