HUGE SUCCESS OF PRO-HAITI CONCERTS

The concerts
performed in Algorta and Romo by the Biotz Alai and
Ondarreta Choral last February 12th and 13th were
hugely successful; attended by large audiences which
completely filled both churches where the concerts
were held as well as collecting a very high sum,
which was the reason for these concerts, towards the
relief funds for Haiti after the terrible earthquake
underwent there last January.
Envelopes were passed around at each concert so that everyone could make their contribution at the end of each concert; a total taking of 11.200 Euros was handed over to Mikel Ruiz, Caritas Bilbao Director, at Getxo Town Hall’s Assembly Hall, witnessed by Mayor Imanol Landa.
The Biotz Alai wishes to thank its choir, members and followers for the contributions towards this cause, as well as thanking the Town Hall for the concert infrastructure-posters, handouts, PA system, etc
