Since the “Coro Biotz Alai” started performing more than eighty years ago, a large number of choristers have contributed their time, energy and vocal talents so that the Coro Biotz Alai could take its place among the finest and best known choirs in the Basque Country. The choir demands a lot of its members, with rehearsals, performances and artistic tours, and it certainly takes up a proportion of time which could otherwise be devoted to members’ families and hobbies. For this reason we tend to think of the choir as one large family, with our members’ own families involved in the choir’s activities, and we can never thank them enough for their support, cooperation and unfailing good will. Choristers’ families have always played an important part in the life of the choir.  Below is a list the choristers who currently sing in the choir. They have followed in their predeccesors’ footsteps in their enthusiasm and in the affection they feel towards Biotz Alai.
Among those who have shown their dedication in the past it is worth remembering a few who have left a special memory with our choristers.

Firstly, we could not fail to mention Iñaki Urrutia Gorordo, a chorister since the choir was founded in 1923, and who continued to sing with us until the late 1990’s when, by that time in his nineties, he had to retire from the choir.
He took responsibility for making copies of all the scores the choir performed, and did this so marvellously that he surprised those who were already familiar with the works. A collection of his scores can be found in the archives of  Eresbil, and is available to anyone who might need them. We should also remember the Zubizarreta brothers, four of whom have worn the Biotz Alai uniforms, including one brother who is still an active chorister today. Finally, we should remember some others who left an indelible memory with their anecdotes and their fabulous voices, such as Enrique Aguirre, Eloy Batiz, Karmel Ariño with his wonderful bass, Iñaki Lores, Santi Uria and many others not mentioned here who will nonetheless remain in the memory of the Biotz Alai. At the present time the choir is formed by the following voices:
